WASHI
Autonomous aerial rescue systems

Find faster.
Reach sooner.

WASHI is building autonomous drones for search & rescue — designed to search unfamiliar environments, locate mission-relevant targets, and support responders when every minute matters.

The mission

Search and rescue is a race against time.

Large areas, obstructed visibility and hazardous terrain can slow down response. Autonomous aerial systems can help expand coverage and surface useful information earlier.

01

Uncertain environments

Search missions rarely begin with a complete map or a visible target.

02

Limited time

Every unnecessary search pass costs time, battery and response capacity.

03

Human risk

Responders may need information before entering unstable or dangerous terrain.

The system

Autonomy built around the mission.

WASHI combines mission reasoning, search planning and perception into one aerial search loop.

01

Understand

Turn a mission objective into a structured plan.

02

Search

Prioritize where to look next using map knowledge and uncertainty.

03

Detect

Identify mission-relevant targets using visual perception.

04

Respond

Confirm, report, return home or continue safely.

Prototype

From command to autonomous execution.

The current simulation prototype can receive a mission, search for a target, navigate the environment, confirm the target and return.

WASHI / mission-control

mission> Find the target, confirm it, and return home.

[PLAN] Search mission initialized.

[NAV] Exploring unknown area...

[VISION] Candidate target detected.

[CONFIRM] Target confirmed.

[RTB] Returning to launch point.

About WASHI

Autonomy for the moments that matter.

WASHI is an early-stage autonomous drone project focused on search & rescue. We are developing and validating the autonomy stack in simulation, with the long-term goal of helping emergency teams search faster and reduce risk in complex environments.

Washi (鷲) means “eagle” in Japanese — a symbol of aerial awareness, reach and precision.
